Pantun! Here We Go!

Forget about the title. I know it doesn't really sounds right, does it? No. Yeah. I know. Anyway, its been a long time. My fingers are getting itchy. They need to type something crappy so here it is, for all of you to see.

For those who do not know what is pantun. It is a poem. A malay poem. There are rules that one have to follow in order to create a pantun. It's very hard to explain but nevermind.

Here's one example:

Pergi ke taman melihat burung kenari,
Yang hinggap di bahu Ainan,
Antara teman perempuan dengan kawan sejati,
Yang manakah anda pentingkan?

Nice, isn't it? Haha...Back to topic. Last week, my teacher decided to have a pantun competition. There must be four representatives from each group. Each representative must at least have 2 questions and 2 answers which all together...empat pantun. I cannot deny it was a very fun experience.

Last Friday, they had the first round which was between Group 1 and 4. Once Group 1 was taking too much time, till Muhaimin got angry and said:

Pergi ke kedai membeli mi,
Tolong jangan bazirkan masa kami.

He said it over-dramatically. Melody too high. Pitching lari...alamak...ai yo yo...
It was super funny but damn, does he has a talent. I mean, really. He can be a great speaker in the future. He has the confidence. The looks? The voice. But maybe just not the height. WAKAKA but he is a really great bundle of fun. Did I forget to mention?
He's my class monitor....with a lot of tactics inside his sleeves. Oh, does he just loves to sing ans dance in class. Our all-time free entertainer...haha...

Here's one example my tuition teacher did:

Kita hidup di zaman sensasi,
Zaman yang penuh cabaran,
Ilmu dikongsi ikhlas dari hati,
Menuju ke mercu kejayaan.

The fight between the two groups lasted almost one hour. Finally, the 4th group if I'm not mistaken won which consists of Akif, Hazim, Fara and of course, our class monitor Muhaimin.

Today, my group went up against the 2nd group

2nd group:
Adila- budak baik
Anis- bendahari pengawas
Claudine- my 'hubby' ...hahaha...
Lokman- da 'cool' guy...

3rd grouppie...muaxz grouppie...
Mimi- the girl who is always hapi
Katherine- the cina selalu cute gurl (ye, aq suka perasan. ade mslah ke?!)
Shafiqah- loud and funny
Hilman- cool, relaxed

HAHA !

A few pantun for you!

Kanak-kanak main sorok-sorok,
Bermain di kawasan perumahan,
Janganlah kita saling mengutuk,
Apakah sebab pergaduhan?

Tubuh pendekar berbentuk sasa,
Jangan sekali cuba menghina,
Berkawan berbeza budaya dan bangsa,
Tidak kira Melayu, India dan Cina.

We fought. Hard. We prayed. We played harder. We cried. But no, it didn't stop us. The winds start to blow. The sky started to get dark. It started raining. But we didn't stop....

Over-dramatic?
Okay....anyway, we won!!!
I'm getting to tired to further this post any longer...
Have to sidai kain lepas ni...pastu esok kena bangun pagi...huhu
